Prague Botanical Garden has formally joined the DBGI network as its first partner garden in Czechia. Situated across approximately 25 hectares in Prague, the garden maintains around 15,000 cultivated plant species in its outdoor collections and greenhouses, including the Fata Morgana tropical greenhouse.
The collaboration began on 14 January 2025, when members of the Pluskal Lab integrated DBGI’s sample collection and traceability procedures into their existing work with the garden.
The partnership connects the garden’s living collections and plant records with research on plant specialised metabolites, mass spectrometry and computational metabolomics at IOCB Prague. Samples collected through the collaboration remain linked to their botanical records and resulting chemical data, supporting reproducible workflows for DBGI research in Czechia.
